**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Lead Data Scientist** to join our team in **Chantilly, VA.** **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Creates new, innovative methodologies to detect threats by collaborating with data visualization experts, analysts, and leadership. + Utilizes cutting-edge technologies for in-depth threat analysis and develops algorithms that proactively support analysts in detecting insider risk. + Provides data expertise by building custom data pipelines for large datasets using commercial and/or open-source data science tools. + Develops tools and methodologies to ensure that vast amounts of structured and unstructured data are properly categorized, processed, and presented to analysts efficiently. + Stays current on all data science methodologies, developments, and industry best practices, and evaluates and recommends new techniques to further develop the Insider Threat Program. + Utilizes Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop natural language categorization and querying capabilities and provides modeling approaches to assess personnel risk and suitability. + Ability to travel domestically. **Minimum Qualifications:** + 10+ years of relevant experience with statistical data modeling and software analytics. + Subject Matter Expertise in statistical data modeling, data science, and programming algorithms with data visualization software packages. + Experience writing technical reports, training manuals or similar documentation. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Data Modeling, Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics; Five (5) additional years of experience and a Bachelor's degree. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. + Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
