NEWARK CITY SCHOOL JOB POSTING

BUS MECHANIC

Applications are being accepted for a school bus mechanic position with Newark City Schools. Applicants must possess strong mechanical skills with ability to diagnose and repair diesel and gas bus engines, diagnose and repair school bus electrical systems, and replace brakes on school buses. Applicants will be required to perform normal school bus P.M., oil changes, greasing, washing ect. Applicant must have previous mechanical experience with commercial diesel and gas engines. Applicants will be required to obtain a CDL with school bus endorsement through our training program. Preference will be given to applicants with mechanical experience on school bus engines and ASE certification. Our mechanics provide their own basic shop tools and will be required to work 40-hour week. Full benefit package available to the selected candidate which includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
