\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (days) or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (nights)
\n• Every other weekend requirement including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
\n• Holiday work required as part of permanent staff rotation
\n• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
\n• Float to Telemetry and ER for ICU holds as needed
\n• First to float designation
\n• Navy blue scrubs required
\n• One day ICU orientation plus one shift on Telemetry/stepdown unit
\n• No self-scheduling available
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
\n• Minimum 3 years ICU experience required (2+ years acceptable from large institutions)
\n• Prior travel experience preferred
\n• BSN not required but California RN license required
\n• Work with EMR system Cerner PowerChart
\n• Handle various drips including vasopressors, nitro, heparin
\n• Care for ventilated patients and manage cardiac conditions
\n• Treat patients with cardiac issues, PCI, sepsis, ETOH, stroke, CABG procedures
\n• Emphasis on patient satisfaction with skilled, competent, and compassionate care
\n• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

\nThis acute care medical center operates a 44-bed licensed ICU unit currently utilizing 36 beds with 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratios. The facility features 24/7 in-house intensivists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services. The ICU is equipped with 44 hardwired GE monitors and provides comprehensive critical care services including cardiac procedures, post-surgical care, and medical intensive care. The facility maintains high standards for patient satisfaction and emphasizes compassionate, skilled nursing care.
