General Statement of Duties Position requires basic keyboard skills and familiarity with office procedures and strong technical abilities . This is a Temporary position. No more than 29 hours per week . No benefits . Hours per day will be assigned by the supervisor. Essential Duties Serves as the help desk resource for Oracle software (password resets for EDA/iRecruitment); Provides technical assistance at an advanced level to all school system employees at all levels and applicants; Responds to user questions, troubleshoots software problems, offers solutions by e-mail, phone and/or in person; Ability to listen, understand and effectively communicate solutions to users with various levels of technical ability; Ability to handle recurring and more basic problems independently; more difficult problems referred to a supervisor for assistance; Assists department (when needed) with data entry for new and current temporary employees (set-ups for pay, deletions, etc.); Greets callers and visitors, directs them to the proper source and answers questions; Works with team members to promote a positive work environment; Attends work daily; Must be engaged on tasks; Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must have excellent computer skills in Windows platforms. Must have experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Knowledge of data based programs such as Oracle, etc., is preferred. Graduation from high school and two years of related clerical experience. Good organizational skills. Considerable knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; skill in keyboarding, data entry, speed and accuracy; ability to follow directions, read and organize information; tact; courtesy; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
