Stand-Up Forklift Operator Join Performance Foodservice as a Stand-Up Forklift Operator, working Sunday thru Thursday night shift. Overview Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. As a Forklift Operator you will operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck) to move incoming freight to inventory, replenish pick slots, and maintain a safe, efficient flow of products in a multi-level rack system. Key Responsibilities Locate proper slot on storage racks and set pallets with forklift or hand stack items. Count check incoming freight, transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack. Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to work orders. Rotate date-sensitive stock, remove out-of-date inventory per company policy. Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage. Remove empty pallets and packaging materials to proper areas; inspect pallets for damage. Follow safety policies, prefer work methods, and keep work area safe. Perform safety check on equipment, obtain required supplies, and prepare for operations. Wear required personal protective equipment and safety gear. Meet productivity and accuracy standards. Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, and verbal instructions. Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks. Perform general housekeeping duties. Replace batteries, perform vehicle inspection checklist. Secure equipment and complete paperwork at shift end. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience. Ability to work scheduled shifts and required overtime. Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift. Ability to lift, stack, or pull products off shelves, weighing between 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds depending on location. Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry). Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
