Responsibilities

• Provide structure around site safety with superintendent and subcontractors.
• Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on a jobsite by reviewing what can be done to minimize risk.
• Conduct regular safety audits throughout the duration of a project assessing all safety related issues and follow up with the project team.
• Assist subcontractors with site safety needs via toolbox talks, safety checklists, job hazard analysis, etc.
• Communicate directly with subcontractors to discuss concerns and Shawmut's expectations.
• Maintain the information technology and systems that are essential to capture and analyze key data, present reporting and communicate effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with every member of the project team, subcontractors and clients.
• Conduct new hire safety orientations.
• Uphold Shawmut Values and 16 Best Practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Bachelors Degree in Safety or related experience preferred.
• Prior safety or construction-related internship a plus.
