The Dental Assistant supports dentists during dental procedures, ensures patient comfort, prepares and sterilizes instruments, and maintains a clean and organized clinical environment. They play a vital role in patient care and the efficiency of dental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions)

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort

• Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep the area clean and dry

• Take dental X-rays (as permitted by law)

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory areas

• Maintain patient records and update dental charts

• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and dental procedures

• Schedule appointments and manage inventory of supplies

• Take impressions of patients' teeth for diagnostic casts or temporary crowns

• Take scans with CEREC or ITERO

• Ensure compliance with all infection control and OSHA regulations

• Use camera for taking patient photos

• Clean operatories
