Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides artistic and administrative leadership for all collaborative piano activities within the School of Music. Ensures high standards of musical partnership across applied studios, ensembles, and divisions by performing in various collaborative roles and assignment of staff pianist responsibilities. Ensures that pianists are prepared to serve as effective musical partners and that all collaborative functions enhance the artistic and educational mission of the School of Music.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Provides piano accompaniment for the full range of musical applications in support of Bailey School of Music faculty and students
2. Coordinates collaborative piano activities, including rehearsals, performances, and personnel assignments to meet programmatic and artistic needs
3. Organizes and supports faculty and student performances
4. Manages personnel assignments for all degree recitals
5. Provides and assigns vocal, instrumental, and chamber coaching for student performances

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field.

Required Experience
Three (3) years of university-level performance experience with evidence of substantial collaborative piano work.

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Comprehensive knowledge of vocal and instrumental repertoire and techniques

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Advanced piano performance and collaborative skills
Exceptional collaborative musicianship skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
