Description Mechanical Shop Clamp Operator/Mechanic.
FSI inc. in Edison New Jersey is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift clamp
operator. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, and a basic understanding
of hand tools, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is a hands-on role that requires a
proactive individual who can effectively operate a clamp truck and perform basic mechanical
duties in an appliance shop.
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Shop clamp operator mechanic is responsible for the overall product flow in
and out of the shop. This role will be responsible for accurately picking Work Orders, and
accurate placement of completed Work orders in warehouse bins. This role will also include
completing mechanical processes daily, on appliances.
Responsibilities:
- Shop Operations:
- Pick workorder for the Mechanical shop using RF technology.
- Process workorders using RF technology.
- Process bin transfers using RF technology.
- Follow all appropriate SOP and Work instructions necessary to use RF technology, and all power tools as outlined below.
- Follow Verbal direction, or written SOP for mechanical processes performed on appliances equipment
- After proper training, operate a forklift clamp truck.
- All picking and bin transfers will be completed on the clamp truck.
- Operate power equipment, such as drills, drivers and cutoff wheels.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with equipment manufacturer guidelines.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures Including PPE. Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards as requested.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Proven experience as a Clamp operator, forklift equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computer software for inventory management and other shop-related tasks.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Pay Rate $17.50-$20.50
Shift: 9am-5:30pm
Pay Range $17.50-$20.50
Location Edison
