HR Assistant

Are you someone with 6-mo.-1 year of HR experience and looking to work within a research institution? We've partnered with an organization in the Cambridge, MA area looking to bring on an HR Assistant on a 3-6-month temporary basis with the possibility of an extension.

Job Length: 3-6-months temporary with a potential extension to follow.

Compensation: $25-26/hr.


Days/Hours : This position is 5 days a week on-site in the office
Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm or 9am-5pm, 40/hrs./wk.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts employee orientation for all new employees, either virtually or in person, verifies 1-9 electronically using e-Verify, and scans and files I-9 appropriately .
• Assists HRS in preparing visa-related correspondence, attaches applicable documentation and mails/sends by FedEx. Files visa documents as instructed.
• Assists in the administration of the awards programs (i.e., cash, performance, service and time-off).
• Administers, as a rotational assignment with other HR Assistants, Summer Hire Program and Volunteer program.

Qualifications:

• 6-months to 1-year of administrative or HR experience. Must have an interest in getting into HR if they have mostly administrative experience.
• Strong database management experience- Must be tech savvy to navigate through various application programs and adapt to new programs and technologies they implement.
• Must be able to handle confidential employee records.
