Position: Teradata Developer Location: Plano, TX - Day 1 onsite Duration: Fulltime Job Description Skill: Teradata Developer Must have: 10+ years’ experience with data analysis and engineering on Teradata data-warehouse and analytical platforms. Experience analyzing researching complex data issues. Extensive experience developing Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities (bteq, tpt, fastexport). Good experience developing complex analytics dashboards using Tableau and/or similar Business Intelligence and Visualization tools. Very good knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting and scheduling (like Autosys). Knowledge and experience working with CI / CD based development and deployment – JIRA, BitBucket. Excellent written, proactive communication and diagramming skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Speaking / presentation skills in a professional setting. Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player to work with global teams and business partners. Positive attitude and flexible. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes. Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Application Developer / Data Engineer to support the design, architecture, and development of Enterprise Information / Data Science. Products owned and operated by the Enterprise Data Science Technology (EDST) team. This role will specifically support the FDIC / Liquidity Capital Ratio Entity Classification Regulatory Rules. Engine products for the EDST systems engineering / application development team supporting. Global Liquidity Risk Management (GLRM) and FDIC Deposits Insurance functions. Responsibilities Typically 10+ years of experience. Use advanced data skills and experience with complex data analysis and reporting using SQL (Teradata) with in-depth knowledge and experience in data extraction and processing (data transformations). Work directly with line of business teams to understand requirements, and code technical solutions / methods for data sourcing, transformation, and provisioning. Ability to analyze data problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to resolve them to accomplish business goals. Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements/stories per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Design, develop, and maintain test suites for product/user acceptance testing. Design key data quality indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies. Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource - ready to get into the weeds of the code, analyze and research data and optimization problems, and discuss technical details with the development/support team. Provide technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor, also responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the quality and timeliness of other systems professionals, including offshore resources. May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines; should have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence decisions to achieve desired results. Work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from the manager.
