Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes, diesel engines, and other heavy machinery.
  • Execute brake repairs, electrical system troubleshooting, and alignments as needed.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools to fabricate parts or components for equipment repairs.
  • Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in crane mechanics and operations.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills related to heavy machinery.
  • Experience with power tools and hand tools used in mechanical repair.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications for repairs.
  • Expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance practices.
  • Competence in aligning components accurately during repairs.
  • Skills in soldering electrical connections as required for equipment functionality.
  • Ability to fabricate parts or components as necessary for effective repairs.

Physical Requirements:
