Description Job Summary The Golf Professional & Events Manager is a member of the golf operations management team at the Wigwam Golf Club. This individual supports the Director of Golf and Director of Operations and Revenue in delivering a 5-star golf experience through effective management of daily operations, exceptional member and guest service, staff supervision, and tournament execution. Success in this position is measured by increased member and guest usage and satisfaction, employee retention, and consistent delivery of high service, cleanliness, and safety standards

Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee's position.
Operational: - Operational Management: Act as Manager on Duty to oversee and coordinate all aspects of daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, cart operations, and practice facility standards. Provide recommendations to Director, as necessary.
- Tournament & Event Coordinator: Sell, plan, organize, and execute corporate tournaments, including all pre-event planning, day of management, and post event management.
- Membership Coordinator: Oversee the sales of golf and tennis memberships, planning and execution of member golf tournaments, member account setup in tee sheet and POS, and monthly member billing audit.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise, mentor, and train team members, monitoring performance, and providing continuous development opportunities. Implement coaching and corrective action plans as needed. Consults with Senior Management and/or Human Resources, as necessary.
- Hiring: Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of golf operations staff in accordance with company policies, procedures, and hiring standards. Consults with Director of Golf and Human Resources on a regular basis.
- Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional member and guest service while maintaining high operational standards across all golf-related areas. Maintain a consistent presence on the golf course, practice areas, and in the golf shop to engage with members and guests. Resolve member and guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Reporting and Audits: May assist with audits of golf operations, including ensuring staff are being scheduled appropriately, timecards, tip reporting, etc.
- Policies and procedures: Implement, create and manage SOP's to ensure consistent service and culture.
Other: - Actively participates in meetings and training session.
- Drafts and formats memos, emails, and reports in accordance with Company guidelines and protocols.
- Performs all other related duties, as assigned. May be requested to assist with projects from time to time.
Qualifications Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- PGA or LPGA membership or certification preferred.
Experience: - Minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in golf operations, preferably at a high-end private, semi-private golf club or resort.
- Experience in tournament coordination and golf shop.
- Previous supervisory experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
- Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Other Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends and holidays may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

The work environment is subject to interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. There is extensive repetitive motion in using hands/wrists.
Work Environment This position primarily works both indoors and outdoors. At times, extreme temperatures may be part of the environment.
Work requires exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort. The noise level is usually moderate.
OSHA Category Category II: Individuals who engage in activities normally without exposure to blood or body fluids, but where exposure may occur in the event of an emergency including assisting staff, members, or guests.
