We are currently seeking an experienced and thorough Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our team in beautiful Stowe Vermont. The role is primarily tax returns, tax planning and tax advice with additional client services including client support services & monthly and quarterly compliance. Accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail are vital to providing excellent customer service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of professional accounting experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) Duties and Responsibilities Request, collect, and compile all necessary documents Prepare corporate, individual, estate, and not-for-profit income tax returns Advise business owners and individuals (tax planning) Review, summarize and explain tax returns and financial statements to clients Always maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations Constant communication with the IRS, State Agencies, and our clients Keep highly organized and updated client files Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another relevant field or higher Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) in good standing QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience (ProAdvisor certification plus) Minimum 3 years of experience as a CPA or EA preparing corporate, individual, trust and not-for-profit tax returns Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Intuit ProSeries Professional tax software is a big plus Outstanding communication skills Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment Job Type Full-time or part time Work Location Stowe Vermont / Remote Schedule Extremely flexible Work Remotely Yes Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr Green Mountain Accounting & Tax P.C.
