Superintendent – Environmental Construction

Oakland, CA

$1,000 Sign-On or Referral Bonus

Are you a hands-on construction leader passionate about building smarter, safer, and more sustainable job sites? Join a fast-growing, fully integrated environmental construction firm tackling complex challenges across soil, vapor, air, and water systems.

We’re looking for an experienced Superintendent to help lead field operations, drive team performance, and deliver high-quality results on key environmental remediation and infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

Lead daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety-first culture on-site.
Review and complete Permit to Work / AHA forms with the crew.
Oversee daily crew assignments , ensuring alignment with project plans.
Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure site readiness and safety .
Maintain jobsite documentation through Site Docs (field logs, reports, etc.).
Coordinate subcontractors , manage delivery schedules, and plan materials.
Track labor, equipment, materials , and production for cost tracking.
Partner with PMs to manage budgets and flag any change order opportunities.
Support field operations with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.

Travel

Minimal travel required (~10%). Most work is local to the Bay Area.

What You Bring

7+ years of hands-on field experience (excavation, grading, demo preferred).
Confident with site supervision , planning, and subcontractor coordination.
Proficiency in plan/spec interpretation , grade checking, and use of lasers.
Strong leadership , communication, and real-time problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of MEP systems and heavy equipment operations .
Flexible schedule – open to overtime and weekend work as needed.
High school diploma required; degree in CM or Engineering is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

40-hr HAZWOPER
30-hr or 10-hr OSHA
CPR/First Aid
