Job Description
Summary
As an art gallery assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of the gallery and staff. Strong communication skills, a passion for art and the ability to work well in a team are essential for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
· Greeting and assisting visitors
· Assisting gallery director with sales leads
· Providing information about the artwork on display
· Handling sales transactions
· Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gallery space
· Assisting with the installation and deinstallation of artwork
· Printing wall tags
· Bagging, cornering, packing and shipping of artwork
· Inventory transfer and check in
Other Responsibilities
· Ordering supplies
· Some errands
· Petty cash box reconciling
· Event assistance
