MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF WIRE ROPE SPLICING EXPERIENCE 

Connect Staffing is looking for a dedicated Wire Rope Splicer to join a manufacturing company in the North Houston area!

Schedule : Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Requirements for Wire Rope Splicer: 

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of Wire Rope Splicing experience.
• 2 Years of Sling Fabrication or Rigging Shop Experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Proficient in reading tape measures, job prints, and capacity charts.
• Skill in operating industrial tools, including forklifts.
• Physical availability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and work in varied environments.
• Ability to work in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
• Prior experience in roles such as Wire Rope Technician, Rigging Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, Fabrication Technician, or Industrial Production Worker is a big plus!

Responsibilities of the Wire Rope Splicer: 

• Produce wire rope assemblies according to manufacturing specifications and quality standards
• Set up, adjust, and operate machines and equipment
• Select appropriate raw materials, hardware, and tools for rope sling production
• Read and interpret production sheets, manuals, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
• Perform preventative maintenance and report issues with equipment or materials
• Move and handle materials as required
• Pack products, perform minor equipment repairs, and assist in other plant areas as needed
