\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement - 4 shifts out of 4 week schedule
\n• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday, and Saturday/Sunday for days
\n• Expected to work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per permanent staff rotation schedule
\n• Patient ratio of 1:4 on 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms)
\n• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Navy blue scrubs required (scrub jackets and undershirts must also be navy, or undershirts may be white or black)
\n• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
\n• Travelers are first to float to other units including MedSurg, ICU for tele holds, or ER holds
\n• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
\n• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
\n• 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
\n• Care for patients including post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset atrial fibrillation, step-down from ICU, surgical patients, urology procedures, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, TBI, and high acuity patients
\n• Work with respiratory therapy for CPAP/BiPAP ventilation support
\n• Charge nurse and preceptor experience needed
