Job Details

• Position: RN PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Location: Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts
• Hospital System: Mass General Brigham
• Employment Type: Long Term Assignment (LTA)
• Job Description: 36 hours per week, 50% day/night rotation with up to 2 weekend shifts per month

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years RN experience
• Minimum 1+ years Travel PACU experience
• Minimum 1+ years Academic Medical Center experience required
• Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start date
• MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• Both NURSYS and BON required for nursing licenses
• Fit Test (N95) within 365 days to start date and updated annually
• MGB Medication Exam with 80% passing within 365 days for RN & LPN
• Documentation of MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break or negative QuantiFERON TB Test or T-spot within 3 months and updated if >6 month break
• Physician Health Statement within 365 days of start date and updated if >6 month break
• MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break
• MGB Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break
• MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission
• MGB References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 Supervisor or Above, in skillset
• MGB Skills Checklist required for submission
• MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required
• MGB Education Verification through background check company
• MGB SSN Trace must be run with criminal check
• MGB National Sex Offender Check within 30 days of start and updated annually
• MGB Exclusion Checks within 30 days of start and annually
• MGB Candidate Submission Coversheet required for submission

Schedule Information

• 36 hours per week

Additional Details

• MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• No religious exemptions considered for Fit Test
• Flu-mist administered directly by pharmacy or provider accepted; self-administered flu mist not accepted
• Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
