\nRegistered Nurse - PACU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work with patients recovering from various surgical procedures including mastectomies, plastics, urology, general surgery, orthopedic procedures, GI, cardiology procedures, GYN, ECTs and bronchoscopy
\n• Not a 24-hour PACU - regular daytime operations
\n• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Call requirements: 1-2 days per week with maximum 12 call days in 6-week period
\n• Weekend coverage includes 4-5 shifts (7a-7a Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule
\n• Floating required within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed
\n• 24 hours of orientation required
\n• Minimum 2 years of experience required - accepts first-time travelers
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, CPAN, CAPA preferred)
\n• Must have Georgia or Compact license in hand at time of submittal
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Holiday work requirements: work one major holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two of three if three fall during assignment
\n• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
\n• Must be available to submit compliance documents and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing
\n• Full compliance required to start on time

\nThis medical center operates a comprehensive Post-Anesthesia Care Unit serving patients recovering from a wide variety of surgical procedures. The facility features a 10-bed PACU with a daily census of 25-35 patients and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and offers comprehensive support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes during the critical post-operative recovery period.
