On Call, Call Back Requirements: yes- if placed on Low Census- call back to unit is expected

Weekend Rotation: Every other may be required

Holiday Requirements: per unit rotation

Floating Requirements: No

JOB DESCRIPTION

• About Facility
• Fond du Lac, WI
• Undesignated Trauma Center (for the first year- will pursue level IV Trauma in 2025)
• Undesignated Stroke Center (for the first year- will pursue Acute Stroke Ready in 2025)
• Beds: 19 (9 in ED, 10 Inpatient)

• Beds: 9
• Experience: ED RN - 2 years of ER experience
• First-time traveler: No
• Patient Types:
• Peds to Geriatric (mostly geriatric population), General ED skillset, including chest pain, abdominal pain, falls
• Peds experience not required but preferred
• Patient Ratios:
• ED RN: 1: 3-4 (days & nights)
• Required Certifications:
• ED RN: Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; Preferred : CPI/MOAB, ENPC, NRP
• Skills required:
• ED RN: Required : General ED skillset: PIV starts, blood cultures (with proper technique), chest tubes, code blue experience, triage; Preferred : art lines, critical care experience, central line placement, thoracentesis, charge experience
• Support on the Unit:
• Charge nurse: will take patients
• CNA: 1 ED Tech/HUC (combined role) 24/7
• Phlebotomy/RN: primary RN responsibility with access to phlebotomy for challenging/time sensitive draws (phlebotomy does all draws for inpatient holds)
• Hospitalist 24/7
• ED Provider: 1 24/7
• Respiratory therapist 24/7
• Bedside and Nurses station telemetry monitoring, no tele tech for ER patients
• Tele tech for ER holds only
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EPIC- required
• Alaris
• Pyxis
• Belmont rapid infuser: only for ED RN - preferred
• Floating:
• None for ER RN
• M/S RN- float to M/S units, 1st to float
• Orientation:
• Will orient at Client Oshkosh location and then transition to Fond du Lac (30 minutes apart)
• at least one-two shifts to learn flow
• Scheduling:

Weekend rotation - ED RN: every other or every 3rd

• Can we approve time off? Case by case basis due to minimal staffing model
• On call: low census, travelers called off first
• Holiday Expectations: as needed, based on staffing at the time
• Other notes or things you want us to check/verify?
• Scrub Color: Any color; no denim, camo, logos
• Parking: free in designated areas
