(AMT), an employee-owned consulting engineering firm, is seeking a Survey Tech/GIS Analyst to join our team in the DMV Region serving the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia offices. The candidate will work on survey and GIS assignments. The position involves performing both survey and GIS work, including survey computations, topographic and boundary surveys, record drawings, easement plats, geo-referencing property plat images, GIS data input, and field survey data collection if desired. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and ArcGIS; experience with MicroStation is a plus. Salary ranges from $30.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on education and experience. This role offers an excellent work/life balance. Candidates must reside within the DMV area and be able to commute to one of our three office locations. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered. Responsibilities Survey Technician: perform survey computations, prepare topographic and boundary survey drawings, easement and right-of-way drawings, as-built survey drawings, research property and plats, and perform duties as assigned by the Licensed Surveyor. GIS Analyst: perform georeferencing, create spatial features, develop databases, support survey project managers, and perform CAD drafting using GIS software. Qualifications High School Diploma (additional survey, geography, or engineering degree preferred) 5+ years of surveying experience Ability to read property plats, maps, engineering, and architectural plans Proficiency in CAD, GIS, and survey software; experience with Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to work overtime if necessary Why Join AMT?
