Job Role and Responsibilities - Perform thorough patient assessments encompassing physical exams and comprehensive medical history reviews
- Assist in diagnosing surgical issues by evaluating imaging results and lab findings
- Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
- Offer intraoperative support through effective preparation of surgical areas, appropriate patient positioning, and meticulous handling of surgical instruments
- Provide outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, performing wound care, facilitating discharge planning, and conducting patient education
Education Requirements - Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgical care is highly preferred
Certifications Needed - Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
