This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment. The SPT ensures the sterility and functionality of instruments used in various medical procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and a relevant certification.

Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Preparing instrument sets for surgical procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintaining inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Performing quality control checks to ensure sterility and functionality.
- Adhering to strict infection control and safety procedures.
- Following established departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned, such as inventory management.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Special Considerations:
- No on-call requirements.
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
- Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract.
- Facility offers discounted rate to local caregivers (within 50 miles).
