The Sr Compliance Analyst supports the Product Compliance team in the drafting, filing and implementation of new products and forms. They will monitor and research industry and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations. This position is eligible to be fully remote. We are looking for someone to: Contributes to the timely development of new products through involvement in drafting new or revised contract forms. Prepares, submits and negotiates timely approvals of insurance contracts, related forms and advertising with the insurance compact and state insurance departments. Implements new or revised forms and related Organization procedures, including requirements gathering and UAT testing. Monitors compliance and supports the Chief Compliance Officer on research and analysis with ever-changing state and federal laws, regulations, and case law impacting the compliance function, including the organization’s suite of products. Assists in the administration and operation of WoodmenLife’s Compliance Program. Reviews advertising to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements. Audits new business and recently settled business. Accurate and timely periodic reporting completed within state deadlines. Maintains accurate state required documentation for market conduct exams by state insurance departments, including advertising file and solicitation file. Maintains tracking lists (i.e., variations lists, approval lists, disclosure requirements). Training of other department associates as requested by supervisor. Develops a network of industry and state insurance department contacts to assist with product development and form approval issues. Contributes towards the overall goals of the Legal and Compliance Division. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor and WoodmenLife policy. Performs other duties as assigned by management. We need someone who has: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 7-10 years in insurance product compliance. Ability to independently work on complex projects involving the creation, drafting, and filing of insurance products. Capability to interface directly with regulators to achieve approvals for WoodmenLife’s products, including applications, contract forms, endorsements, amendments, advertising, and any other filed materials. Ability to work independently on multiple long-term projects to meet various deadlines established with other affected Organization departments or mandated by state insurance departments. In-depth knowledge of insurance products, application forms and sales processes. Ability to work effectively with associates at varying levels of responsibility, from entry level clerks to Organization’s Executive Officers. Ability to monitor, research, analyze, and understand current and proposed state laws/regulations to determine extent of effects of changing contract language, i.e. affected departments, risks accepted by the Organization, changes in Organization procedures, changes in systems, changes in benefits provided to members, etc. Ability to conduct research on topics relating to products or processes associated with position. Experience with Microsoft Word, SERFF, SERFF Access, Westlaw Legal Service (or equivalent legal service), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Internet research methods. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to analyze, interpret and clearly communicate information to others, both orally and in writing. Experience in training others on complex tasks.
