Job Description

The right person will have a good mix of tax accounting background, seeking a full-time senior tax manager to manage the Company’s tax matters, including U.S. and international tax planning, tax compliance, tax accounting, and operational tax issues. These responsibilities will be fulfilled through management of third-party consultants, management of individual contributors, individual contributions, and collaboration with the client's tax and management team.

Qualifications

1. Oversee the preparation of domestic and international tax compliance filings and related matters, as prepared by the external tax firm or other local third-party tax professionals.
2. Manage operational tax compliance matters, including the completion of transfer pricing arrangements, VAT filings, and property tax.
3. Assist senior management with the development and manage the implementation of tax strategies.
4. Develop and maintain relationships locally and globally with third-party consultants.
5. Manage all aspects of the tax accounting process, including annual review and preparation of tax provision work papers, tax account reconciliations, technical accounting issue research and analysis, and disclosure matters.
6. Act as primary liaison with independent reviewers with respect to tax matters.
7. Oversee tax-related internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements of local tax authorities, and operational efficiency.
8. Increase corporate awareness of tax risks and compliance issues through corporate education and review of key business activities and agreements.
9. Monitor changes in tax GAAP, tax code, and related rulings for developments that affect the Company’s tax compliance, strategy, and accounting.
10. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for various domestic and international tax expenses.
11. Other duties and special projects as requested.

Leadership Experience and Qualifications

1. Requires a BS/BA in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
2. Minimum 8 years of total tax experience, including corporate and international tax.
3. Energetic, flexible team player with the ability to manage in a changing environment.
4. High attention to detail, with an ability to independently prioritize and organize projects.
5. Written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers and all levels of personnel.
