Registered Nurse (RN)-Emergency Department-PRN
Job Type: ER, Full Time, Nights 6:00pm-6:00am

Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. At North Alabama Medical Center our emergency room (ER) team is staffed 24/7 with emergency physicians, nurses and staff who are trained in providing emergency care. Our team combines advanced training with compassionate service to be ready for you or your family when you need it the most.

How you'll contribute

You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification

• ACLS/PALS is required within six months of hire.

• One year of experience preferred

• What you will do

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  Documents patient care given.

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
