Job Description

As a Quality Laboratory Technician- Particulate Matter at Baxter, you will perform finished product testing of solutions in accordance with USP <1790> by vacuum filtration and subsequent visual inspection of filters to detect visual particles within defined timeframes. Responsibilities include collecting supplemental PM samples throughout the facility following Standard Operating Procedures, conducting product testing in compliance with USP <1790> and USP <788> methodology, adhering to aseptic techniques to maintain sample integrity, visually inspecting filters for particulate matter size 150 microns or higher, preparing and calibrating testing equipment and solutions, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to testing procedures or equipment, collaborating with quality team members to ensure timely sample processing, communicating testing issues promptly, participating in internal and external audits/inspections, and supporting internal investigations when product limits are exceeded. The role requires strong understanding of quality principles and Good Manufacturing Practice, excellent attention to detail, digital literacy, good social skills for teamwork, ability to lead multiple tasks, work independently, and flexibility in scheduling. Physical requirements include manual dexterity for aseptic techniques and ability to lift 10-20 pounds routinely. Working conditions involve majority of shift in quality laboratory at a Laminar Flow Hood, standing for extended periods, and use of Personal Protective Equipment. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience with aseptic technique requirements in laboratory or manufacturing settings. Overtime may be required.
