Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) Dayton, Ohio

Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated Part-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join our compassionate and professional behavioral health team. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide vital psychiatric services to children and adolescents across Dayton, Washington Court House, and Columbus, Ohio. Position Overview:

As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management tailored to the unique needs of children and teenagers. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, play a key role in clinical supervision, and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Manage ongoing medication treatments, monitoring efficacy and side effects to optimize patient outcomes.
• Serve as a Collaborating Physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants working within child and adolescent programs, providing clinical supervision and mentorship.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated, holistic care.
• Offer expert consultation to clinical staff on complex diagnoses and treatment strategies.
• Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient safety.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as professional standards.
• Engage actively in case reviews, documentation, and team communication to support optimal patient care.

Work Environment & Scheduling:

• In-person position; telemedicine options are not available.
• Schedule a flexible, one-day-per-week commitment (8 hours), ideal for work-life balance or supplemental income.
• No on-call, weekend, or overnight duties required.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Valid Ohio medical license and appropriate prescriptive authority.
• Proven experience in pediatric mental health and medication management.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical standards and quality patient care.

Compensation & Benefits:
