We're partnering with a PE-backed manufacturing company that's hiring a Plant Controller to oversee accounting operations for two facilities, one in the Chicago area and another in British Columbia.

This role is ideal for an experienced Plant Controller or a strong Senior Accountant ready to step into leadership. The position requires travel to the Canadian plant twice per month for 3-day visits during the first year. A key goal will be to help automate plant-level accounting, reducing the need for frequent travel over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for both sites
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and cost accounting
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting
• Partner with plant leadership to improve processes and visibility

Qualifications:

• Based in the Chicago area
• Background in manufacturing/cost accounting or public accounting
• CPA, CPA-eligible, or in interest in further pursuit of CPA
• Strong communication skills and leadership presence
• Willingness to travel to Canada twice per month

All travel expenses covered (flights, hotel, rental car, meals)
