Job Description

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND , starting January 2026 . This role is ideal for physicians looking for flexible scheduling, excellent support staff, and a manageable patient volume in an inpatient pediatric and newborn setting.

• Location: Altru Hospital 1200 S Columbia Rd, Grand Forks, ND
• Start Date: January 2026 Ongoing
• Schedule: 1 2 weeks per month
• Shift Structure: 24-hour pager call (7 AM 7 AM), 7 days/week
• On-site presence not required during call
• Setting: Inpatient Pediatrics & Newborn/Nursery Units
• Beds: 18 pediatric/newborn + 5 nursery beds
• Average Census: 8 patients/day

• Board Certification: Pediatrics (Required)
• Experience with procedures: Lumbar punctures, circumcisions (Required)
• Technology: Familiarity with Vocera Edge (Preferred)
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted license (ND preferred or willing to obtain)

• Competitive Compensation:

  • 24-hour call rate: $2,500/day

  • Call-back hourly rate: $400/hr
