Position Summary The General Office Assistant is responsible for organizing and maintaining medical records, reviewing all charts for completion and accuracy, obtaining physician signatures, filing reports, and assisting with billing. The role also involves general office duties and may include answering and directing incoming calls. Position Responsibilities Include Organizing and maintaining medical records per procedure. Monitoring records for compliance with licensing requirements. Assembling and filing charts promptly. Maintaining tracking logs and patient outcomes. Managing plans of care and physician orders. Following up for physician signatures and reporting issues. Performing filing, record keeping, and photocopying. Performing on-call duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Preferably one year of medical clerical experience. Ability to operate a laptop and perform clinical documentation. Knowledge of filing, record keeping, data entry, and computer programs.
