Job Description Marine Crane Operator Automation Personnel Services is looking for a
Marine Crane Operator for a company based in Belle Chasse, LA, with work in surrounding cities and offshore locations. Join a team where your crane operation skills are valued, and every day brings a new challenge and opportunity.
Pay Rate $35.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours Full-time position with rotating shifts, including offshore rotations and variable schedules depending on project requirements.
Marine Crane Operator - Duties and Responsibilities - Operate hydraulic and friction cranes safely and efficiently in marine and offshore environments.
- Perform daily inspections, basic maintenance, and ensure cranes remain in safe operating condition.
- Execute complex lifts per approved lift plans, load charts, and rigging requirements.
- Maintain constant communication with riggers, signalers, and supervisors to ensure safe operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA, and maritime regulations.
- Complete required logs, lift plans, and assist with material handling and logistics as needed.
Marine Crane Operator - Qualifications and Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required; NCCCO certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of crane operation experience in marine, construction, or offshore environments.
- Proficient with hydraulic and friction cranes; ringer crane experience a plus.
- Skilled in reading lift plans, rigging drawings, and load charts while applying safe lifting practices.
- Knowledgeable of OSHA, maritime safety regulations, and basic crane maintenance.
- Must hold a valid TWIC card, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be able to work offshore in demanding conditions.
Job Type Full-time with occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
