AppleTree Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Indianapolis to add an experienced Manual Machinist to their team! This is a full-time, Direct-Hire position offering long-term stability, growth potential, and a strong team-oriented environment.

Position Overview:

The Manual Machinist will be responsible for performing high-quality machining work with precision and minimal supervision. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production standards and technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-precision machining according to technical specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools and equipment.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and comparators.
• Set up workpieces, vises, and machine heads; sweep tables; and change chucks on lathes.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee complex machining operations as needed.
• Maintain accuracy, precision, and efficiency on all assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in manual machining.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Physical strength, manual dexterity, and precise hand-eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman training or certifications.
• Crane training and rigging experience.
• Demonstrated precision and high-quality workmanship.
