Overview This role is onsite in Nashville, TN, and a relocation package is offered. Position Overview We’re looking for a Senior Concrete Estimator who is a motivated self-starter with passion and personality, who wants to have a real impact on project wins and the future of the company. You’ll play a critical role in preparing detailed, concrete estimates and proposals based on plans, specs, and field conditions. You’ll work closely with the preconstruction and operations teams, trade partners, and clients to deliver accurate, comprehensive, and competitive estimates. Your expertise in vertical concrete structures—including walls, columns, decks, and foundations—is essential. Responsibilities Lead quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and full-scope concrete estimates for structural and flatwork packages. Analyze drawings, specifications, and site conditions to identify risks, opportunities, and constructability issues. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and GCs to clarify scope and identify value-engineering options. Prepare proposals for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts. Evaluate subcontractor proposals and ensure complete scope coverage with minimized risk. Develop project budgets, bid strategies, and scope narratives in coordination with the Chief Estimator and executive team. Mentor junior estimators and support estimating process improvements as we scale. Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to align precon assumptions with field execution. Qualifications 2+ years of estimating experience in self-perform vertical concrete construction. 3+ years of estimating experience in construction estimating. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar platforms). Solid understanding of building systems, means and methods, and concrete construction sequencing. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts with strong attention to detail. Confident communicator with leadership presence and a collaborative mindset.
