Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance processes within our Pediatric Dental Office, ensuring that all insurance verifications and claims are handled efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Conduct insurance verification for patients prior to their appointments, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented. Manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for managed care authorizations. Process insurance claims, and follow up on any outstanding claims or denials. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage, benefits, and any out-of-pocket expenses. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient information handling. Assist in the training of new staff members on insurance processes and office protocols. Requirements Experience Previous experience in a dental office environment. Familiarity with managed care systems and processes is highly desirable. Proficient understanding of medical terminology and coding practices. Experience with insurance verification processes and handling medical records is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards is required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
