In-Home Caregiver / Personal Assistant for Disabled Adult Physician – Optional Discounted Live-in Housing – CNA License Not Required

Looking for meaningful, almost-full-time work helping an independent adult with a disability? I'm a 45-year-old quadriplegic female physician hiring a small team of caregivers to assist with my personal care and other daily activities, including work in my home-based practice near Lake Mission Viejo.

This is a stable W-2 job with paid training and an option to rent very discounted live-in housing. It’s a great fit for responsible young adults—especially those interested in health careers, caregiving, or meaningful support roles—who want an almost-full-time position with consistency and purpose.

 

Job Details:

• No Experience Necessary: Paid training when you start
• Schedule: Rotating shifts (daytime & overnight with ~7 hours sleep); averages 3.75 shifts/week
• Hours: Average ~36 hours/week (23.5 awake hours + 12.5 sleeping/on-call hours)
• Pay: Starts at $18.50/hour, including sleeping hours
• → Typical monthly earnings:
• $2,700–$3,000/month
• Employment: W-2 with paid training, paid sick time, and full workers’ comp insurance
• Start Date: Flexible, but looking to hire immediately

 

What You’ll Do:

• Provide hands-on support with bathing, dressing, wheelchair transfers, and bathroom routines (including catheter and bowel care)
• Assist with daily tasks like driving, helping with computer-based telemedicine work, and home activities
• Be part of a small, close-knit 4-person care team rotating 24-hour coverage

• Includes all utilities, cable, Wi-Fi
• Access to kitchen, two shared bathrooms, backyard, and Lake Mission Viejo amenities

• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and willing to get annual flu vaccine
• Kind, dependable, and a good team player
