We’re currently hiring for a Dump Truck Mechanic to join a reputable manufacturer in Plant City that specializes in transfer trailers, dump trailers, and suspension systems.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in building, installing, and repairing hydraulic dump truck systems from the ground up — including wet kits, hoists, and steel body installations. If you're someone with mechanical experience who takes pride in hands-on, detailed work, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform full dump body installs on truck chassis, including proper alignment and attachment of hoists, body hinges, and tailgates
• Install and test hydraulic wet kits, including tanks, PTOs, pumps, valves, and hoses
• Perform MIG welding by using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and hydraulic schematics
• Follow standard practices of installation pad for consistent product
• Weld, install, repair, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery, parts, and systems
• Uses basic hand tools such as a measuring tape, wrenches, screw drivers, wire cutters and other specialty equipment such as magnetic drill, and plasma cutter
• Ensures work area/department is secure, clean, and properly shut down at the end of each workday
• Adheres to all procedures as outlined in the company handbook
• Uses and conducts proper care of Personal Protective Equipment

Who We’re Looking For

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience with dump truck or trailer assembly highly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication
• Employer provides power tools, but employee must provide own hand tools
• Ability to read a tape measure, engineering drawings, and installation manuals
• Physically able to frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift 50+ lbs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

What You Can Expect

• $18.00 - $22.00/hr, depending on experience
• Regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
• Mandatory 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm
