About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Nutrition to join its multidisciplinary High-Performance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive, evidence-based nutrition services for the Youth, Extended, and Senior National Teams. This role involves close collaboration with sports science and sports medicine personnel to develop and implement individualized and team-based performance nutrition programs. The Head of Nutrition will also oversee body composition assessments, hydration strategies, and recovery nutrition protocols, as well as manage national team dining initiatives and consult on sports-specific menus and fueling strategies. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in clinical nutrition, exercise science, or a related field, be a Registered Dietitian with active status, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional sport. Expertise in clinical and sports nutrition, knowledge of dietary supplementation, and experience in food service quality and safety procedures are essential. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours. A general knowledge of soccer and the ability to connect detailed nutrition strategies to the broader mission of the organization are also important. Desired qualifications include a PhD in a related field, accreditation as an anthropometrist, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
