Financial Analyst II

Responsibilities

  • Formulate, affect, interpret and implement management accounting policies and operating practices.
  • Support Finance in strategic planning.
  • Support the development of indirect budgets and provide detailed analyses to support customers and Tech(x) management, utilizing KPIs, financial reporting tools, and standardized reporting packages.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage Interdivisional Work Orders, including creation, tracking, administration, and processing, to ensure accurate project identification and efficient workflow management.
  • Review and present monthly financial results and provide summative analysis with recommendations to management and core business partners in a timely manner.
  • Keen attention to detail and being alert to business changes and their impact(s) to budgets, indirect rates, and current and future financial performance.
  • Drive efficiencies into reporting and process automation through advanced knowledge of financial parameters and ability to synthesize key data.
  • Access and retrieve information and data from various systems and reporting tools. Collaborate cross functionally to develop improvements to systems, automate process flows and provide reports to facilitate distribution of actionable data.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
  • Participate in and lead meetings with the business, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in support of the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal and related audits.
  • Drive standardization of process flow and documentation within the finance function, including support for audit reviews.
  • Partner with Finance and core business partners through training and communication to increase the financial acumen across the enterprise.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must demonstrate a respectful demeanor.
  • 7-10 years of experience coordinating tasks and managing resources to achieve efficient accounting processes.
  • Spend plan SME.
  • Demonstrated experience with executing a successful Federal contracting billing process.
  • Experienced in GAAP standardized accounting practices utilized in ensuring that financials are accurately recorded and managed.
  • Experienced with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and P/L statements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the DoD industry doing finance and accounting.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities surround DCAA requirements and audits.

Clearance:

  • Current DoD Clearance; secret or higher.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in business, Finance or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience related to finance and accounting.
  • 5 or more years in the DoD industry meeting financial objectives.

Travel:

  • Internal company travel as needed.
