Job Details Job Location: Malloy DeLeon Springs - Deleon Springs, FL Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2 Year Degree Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.50 Hourly Description Position Summary: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of eligible families. Identifies the needs of families and children in Head Start/Early Head Start and provides comprehensive case management services to empower families towards self-sufficiency. Essential Job Functions Recruits eligible children for Head Start/Early Head Start, including children with disabilities. Completes applications, conducts parent interviews, and manages enrollment. Schedules and documents Project Spotlight activities, ensuring follow-up. Provides case management, develops family partnership agreements, makes referrals, and follows up. Collaborates with health services to ensure child health compliance and connects families with community resources. Documents all case management activities in ChildPlus.net. Assists with scheduling initial home visits and provides subsequent visits as needed. Prepares and maintains child/family files in accordance with policies. Supports families in participating in parent events and engages with the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Committee. Documents attendance concerns and ensures compliance with the Rilya Wilson Act. Submits reports and maintains communication with supervisors. Maintains positive communication with families, greets children during arrivals and departures, and shares community information. Participates in community activities to promote the program and increase awareness. Acts as an advocate and role model for families. Attends training and staff meetings, maintains confidentiality, and collaborates effectively with staff and community contacts. Organizes and prioritizes assignments, participates in safety drills, and adheres to regulations and standards. Participates in program monitoring, assessments, and policy adherence. Qualifications Education: Minimum High School Diploma, FDC Course, and certification in Social Work, Human Services, or related field. Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification and complete required Head Start/Early Head Start training within specified timelines. Experience: No experience required if holding a Human Services or Social Work degree or higher. Licenses & Certifications: Valid Florida driver’s license, insurable, and background checks. First Aid/CPR certified. Skills & Abilities Physical ability to perform job functions, including sitting, standing, lifting, and operating equipment. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of community resources and early childhood issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability. Environmental Factors Location: Primary in Hernando, Sumter, and Volusia counties with occasional travel.
