Friday Services is hiring a Facility Maintenance Tech for our client in South Asheville.
Job Position:Facility Maintenance Technician - Entry Level
Location: Asheville, NC 28803
Pay Rate: $20 -$23/hr DOE
Shift: 8am- 5pm
Reporting directly to the Community Manager, this position will have a unique opportunity to channel their knowledge, skills, ambition, and experience in a meaningful way that directly impacts the lives of the people that live onsite.
What you'll do:
- Perform general maintenance duties including appliance repair, plumping, electrical, and painting
- Ensuring that the physical aspects of the assigned properties meet quality standards and applicable laws
- Responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the electrical and mechanical systems, appliances, buildings, and grounds
- Emptying trash and dog stations, cleaning common areas, all aspects involved in turning residences
- Obtaining work orders from the Community Manager, prioritize and assign work, complete work orders
- Responding to maintenance requests and resolving maintenance issues promptly
- Attending staff meetings to discuss work orders, budget compliance, ongoing vacancies, move-in/move-outs as needed
- Purchase all needed supplies and materials within budgetary constraints
Who You Are - You have some hands-on experience in general maintenance, construction, or a related trade
(formal training is not required, but practical experience matters) - You're comfortable performing a wide range of basic repair tasks
- You understand how to safely use common hand and power tools
- You take pride in leaving things better than you found them
- You're dependable, respectful, and comfortable working around residents
- You're eager to learn, take direction, and have a desire to build long-term skills in property maintenance
