About the Role:

This role oversees Neurocrine's IT infrastructure and operations, including strategic planning and management of Enterprise IT, Cloud Operations in a multi-cloud environment, Scientific Computing, and SecDevOps. It involves cross-functional collaboration to align IT strategies with business needs and supports R&D, Bioinformatics, and Biometric functions within the life sciences industry.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

• Enterprise Infrastructure
• Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Engage with leaders to understand requirements and translate them into IT solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals across infrastructure operations.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of data centers, servers, networks, and cloud services.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of infrastructure.
• Manage daily operations, incident response, and service delivery to minimize disruptions.
• Implement best practices for IT service, change, and incident management.

• Cloud Operations

• Define cloud strategy and roadmap.
• Manage multi-cloud infrastructure for provisioning, security, and scalability.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Ensure cloud security and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate on cybersecurity measures.
• Develop team skills and maintain expertise on cloud strategies and vendor management.

• Scientific Computing

• Develop strategic vision for scientific computing aligned with R&D needs.
• Provide leadership and foster innovation in scientific computing technologies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends.
• Build and develop necessary teams and skills.
• Collaborate with research teams to support computational needs.
• Oversee high-performance computing infrastructure.

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree and 17+ years of IT experience in a pharmaceutical setting with FDA regulation exposure, supporting validated applications, and experience with Microsoft and web technologies, or
• Masters and 15+ years of similar experience, or
• Extensive leadership experience.

• Deep knowledge of FDA regulations, IT infrastructure, and scientific computing platforms.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts.
• Ability to influence at all organizational levels, including C-suite.
