Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires proficiency in handling various electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications. The Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment on vessels.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of automated systems.
  • Conduct renovations involving electrical installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Marine Electrician is preferred.
  • Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is essential.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must work a schedule of 28 days working and 14 days off.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.
