Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Design Intern will support various Communication Design projects. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world projects and daily work tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Attend bi-weekly or more frequent meetings with project teams.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Compare field data to base plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Design and draft construction drawings using standard engineering principles for approval by federal, state, and local agencies.
• Collect necessary data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, to support project needs.
• Learn to read and interpret technical documents, design manuals, and local jurisdiction details to effectively perform job duties.
• Learn to use applicable design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
• Size and specify design requirements, ensuring all design aspects meet project and regulatory standards.
• Complete other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or skills required:

This is an entry-level position where no previous experience is required.

Education and/or work experience preferred:

High School Diploma/GED

Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations required:

Valid Driver's License
