Job Description

SUMMARY

Lettire Construction is seeking an experienced mid-senior level Construction Superintendent specializing in ground-up construction projects. Our ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. They will manage and be directly responsible for all aspects of construction in accordance with established quality standards, construction schedules, budgets, approved plans and specifications, and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires expertise in lump sum contracting, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

Construction Process

· Supervision of the trades as it relates but not limited to coordination, schedule, safety and quality of work in accordance with project documents.

· Work with the project team on site in the coordination of deliveries and confirm that all material quantity and quality is consistent with order. Approve all bills of lading, delivery tickets, invoices, etc.

· Supervise and coordinate all construction related tasks on the jobsite including, team management, sub-contractor and vendor management, scheduling of deliveries and activities, site safety, public safety, inspection coordination and oversight, site security, and all other related work.

· Prepare all daily logs, weekly payroll time sheets, compliance forms, wage forms and reports, checklists and quality control reports, and all other forms or reports as required by the Senior Project Superintendent or Project Manager.

· Schedule and conduct on-site inspections with bank inspectors (if applicable).

· Review requisitions from trade contractors with project managers for each month as required.

· Coordinate with the General or Senior Superintendent the management of the Lettire or third-party labor force.

· Manage or assist with the management of the trade contractor sign-in sheet and the project badging system.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree Desirable and 10 years’ experience within the Construction Trades and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Construction Supervision, or related activities in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and or experience. Proven experience with lump sum contracting and budget management.

· Ability to communicate effectively (oral/written) pertinent information to all levels of management and field operations.

· Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders

· Ability to take on a leadership role and manage the responsibilities of yourself and your team effectively

· Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies

· Experience with Microsoft excel, word, outlook, and projects

· Experience using Procore construction software (preferred)

NYC Construction Superintendent License is required
