Cufiya is a brand new coffee shop soon to fully open in San Diego. & Cufiya is more than a coffee shop — we're a community space rooted in culture, connection, and craft. Located in the heart of San Diego, we serve high-quality coffee, tea, and fresh bites in an environment that uplifts and inspires. We’re seeking a driven and passionate Coffee Shop Manager to help lead our team and grow with us.

As a Barista, you play a crucial role in creating a positive customer experience in our coffee shop. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Interact with customers to take orders and provide recommendations
• Operate coffee-making equipment and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately
• Ensure the presentation and quality of beverages meet the established standards
• Restock and organize inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Manage customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a barista is a strong plus
• Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role
• Knowledge of different coffee brewing techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and preparation
• Ability to handle cash transactions and use POS systems
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Team player with a positive and friendly attitude
