As Clinical Specialist, you will execute the Medication Delivery Solutions value-added clinical business strategy. You will implement clinical programs and initiatives that differentiate the MDS product portfolio based on improved clinical outcomes and process enhancements which may result in a lower cost-in-use. Clinical Specialists enhance the credibility of recommendations to customers and strengthens customer service and support. You will actively engage in conversion management, product implementation, and training on Medication Delivery Solutions products. Candidates must reside in northern CA or Seattle, WA. Territory includes northern California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Oregon. Overnight travel is required. Primary Responsibilities include collaborating with the Regional Team to ensure the sales and conversion management process is clinically effective throughout the timeline of pre-validation to retention; developing strong, working relationships with end-users while providing product in-servicing and clinical education; facilitating customer training classes in support of conversion or retention for key customers; collaborating with the Sales Team in key account management strategy sessions; managing per Diem nurses; training and mentoring contract nursing staff to build clinical skills and identify high potential nurses for Clinical Specialist roles; conducting VAM assessments supporting both Vascular Care and Vascular Access sales bags; providing monthly updates to the Clinical Manager on regional training activities and support provided in region. Requirements include being a Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s degree and license, minimum five years of general clinical experience including three years specializing in ultrasound for vascular access device insertion, proven training skills, strong understanding of infusion therapy, vascular access and key disease states served by MDS products, ability to travel up to 80%, participation in trade shows, and possession of a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of driving history meeting BD's auto safety standards.
