Top Skills' Details + 5+ Years' of Cisco Networking Experience + Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls (or experience with other Firewalls) + On Site 3-4x per month Description + The Network Engineer will maintain the Network Infrastructure by installing and tracking Networking components, performing upgrades of software, maintaining Network hardware, addressing questions about technical problems, and improving efficiency by evaluating infrastructure functions. + Skills will include the ability to be a recognized consultant on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies. + Helps contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. + Successfully operates in complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. + Implements network solutions. + Participates in functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives. + May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. + Provides guidance to other employees. + Demonstrates independent judgment while collaborating with other entities. Key Job Responsibilities + Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain Enterprise Network, including switches, routers, and wireless systems. + Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues in multi-site and client environments. + Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. + Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to deliver successful network solutions. + Document configurations, changes, and technical procedures to ensure accuracy and knowledge transfer. + Provide client-facing support and act as a subject matter expert for networking best practices. + Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements. + Monitor and test network performance for potential improvement opportunities + Offers input of information and operational support systems with emphasis on network architecture + Engages vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
