Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cisco ASA / Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain secure voice and data networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls, telephony systems, and network security. You will ensure network reliability, optimize connectivity, and support enterprise communication environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls and other network security devices.
Establish and maintain secure voice and data networks in alignment with industry standards.
Administer Avaya phone systems, including call vector design, testing, troubleshooting, and voicemail management.
Configure and manage AWS Connect, Uptivity, TASKE, and other telephony platforms.
Monitor network and system performance, perform troubleshooting, and resolve incidents collaboratively with engineering teams.
Conduct circuit testing, equipment programming, and alarm validation to ensure service functionality.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
Respond to escalations from Service Desk for voice adds, moves, and changes.
Ensure system integrity through backup testing, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies.
Participate in Agile Sprint tasks and track incidents using ticketing systems (HEAT or equivalent).
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls , routing, and network security.
Experience configuring and managing Avaya Call Manager, System Manager, and voicemail systems.
Knowledge of NICE Uptivity for call recording and TASKE reporting tools.
Familiarity with AWS Connect and other cloud-based telephony solutions.
Understanding of telecommunication protocols, PBX systems, and network infrastructure.
Experience in troubleshooting complex network and voice issues.
Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Cisco secure telephony and video communication technologies.
Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery strategies, and network optimization techniques.
